A NOTE FROM LIA
After much reflection and mixed emotions, I will be resigning from my role at Mission 2540 at the end of October. It has been a privilege to work alongside Brooks for 10 years, and to be a part of his dream for Mission 2540. But I’ve been feeling a different call on my life toward senior citizens. As this chapter comes to an end, I am excited to embark on a new journey in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Through my journey with Mission 2540, I have learned a new love for kids of all ages, patience for sure, and have realized how much I love to help others. I am eager to apply my skills in a new setting and continue making a positive impact in the lives of a different generation. I can honestly say it will not be easy to walk away after 10 years, but I believe this is something God has laid on my heart for me to do. I do plan to still be involved when my schedule allows me to. I promised my kids that I would come back and visit even if it was just to say “hi” and of course to play our favorite game “Sharks and Minnows.”
And of course, I’m sure you will still see me at the Mission 2540 20 Year Anniversary Party. I don’t want to miss that – and I don’t think Brooks would let me! Thank you for your support, encouragement, and prayers as I pursue this new path.
SEPTEMBER PICTURES
The first six weeks of school have come to a close and our kids are back in a routine, which means big energetic groups each day. We know time with Lia is short, and we’ve made the most of it! Check out the pictures below!
