May Update

School’s out and summer is here! It was obvious during the month of May that kids were ready to be out of school and on a break. They were full of energy, to say the least. We kept the fun rolling and tried to give the kids an outlet for energy. We said good-bye to a few families who are moving away (which, sadly, tends to happen at the end of every school year), and celebrated the end of the school year with a big party at Cathy’s Pointe. Check out pictures below.

At Cypress Creek, we said goodbye to Adija (left) and Howa (right), as their family is moving to Washington. Howa started coming to kids club with Lia when she was in 1st grade! We are sure gonna miss these 2.

The Spring Terrace kids love 2 things – sunny days and coloring with friends. Sometimes these get to happen at the same time.

The last Wednesday of May was the first water balloon day of the summer for Glenwood. Obviously they were pumped!
The Amarillo Garden kids wanted to play a good old fashioned game of Freeze Tag. Of course we let them. Anything to run off that energy!
Sharks and Minnows is always the number one game of choice at High Plains Ranch. And since we typically have 30 or more kids there, we’re thankful the field we have to run in is big!
We’ve been playing Jump the River at the North Grand Villas for 30 years now. There’s less grass so the landings aren’t as soft. But the fun is still there.
Having a tower stacking race at Ridgecrest. Whoever can build the tallest tower (without falling over) in 60 seconds wins.
On the last day of school, Cathy’s Pointe threw a party and opened their pool for the first time in 4 years.l They asked us to help them celebrate. We provided pizza and some prizes. And then we watched the organized chaos of 50 plus kids jumping in and out of the pool. It was a great way to kick off the summer!
