Christmas time is our busiest – and favorite – time of the year! For our annual Christmas Outreach, we once again partnered with Hillside Church and their Sharing Tree Christmas store on Dec. 14. For $5 or 5 canned goods, parents could purchase 2 presents for their child (and no more than $20 per family). Over 1000 kids – including our Mission 2540 kids – were able to get presents purchased and wrapped this year, and it was so much fun to be a part of.
This week was our Annual Week of Christmas Parties. We had 7 parties at each of our properties in a span of 4 days. We consumed close to 1600 chicken nuggets, several hundred cookies, and handed out 120 goodie bags (packed by staff and residents of Baptist Community Services). There’s really no better way to end our year than by celebrating Jesus with all our kids and volunteers!
