September Update

And just like that, September is drawing to a close and cooler fall weather is already here. We started the new school year with a new Bible Study series on the parables of Jesus. The kids love them because the stories are not only entertaining but easy to understand and connect to their lives today. We’ve enjoyed big crowds and great outdoor game weather (for the most part). Here’s hoping those trends continue next month! Enjoy these pics of the fun we had this month:

We continue to have huge crowds at Cypress Creek every Monday. Paige definitely has her hands full, and is grateful for cooperative weather so she get this rowdy bunch outside!

Jennifer gave birth to her second boy in August. Thankfully, she has an equally talented and dedicated sister in Mallory, who has stepped up to fill in at Cypress Creek until Jen returns. As you can see, the kids like her just a little bit…

The kids loved playing the Trust Fall game at Spring Terrace. Every child took a turn, and we didn’t drop anybody. If you want to see what Jacob looks like falling from the other direction, check with our volunteer Tyson 🙂

We made some fun miniature megaphones at Plum Creek. Luckily Caleb didn’t know the proper way to hold it since he’s definitely loud enough on his own.

To go with the story of the Prodigal Son, the kids at Glenwood made these cool memory verse crafts to illustrate the Father’s welcoming arms. They took creative liberty with their faces, obviously!

The North Grand Villas kids love to draw. Sometimes all they need is blank paper and some markers, and they’d create pictures for hours if we let them.
