July has come to a close, and that means the end of summer is in sight. In fact, we’re in the midst of our back-to-school outreach, but that hasn’t stopped us from having summer fun this month. In addition to Camp Awesome, we’ve had our weekly activities on all our properties, enjoying water balloons, crafts, games, bible stories, and more water balloons.
The kids at Cathy’s Pointe love doing crafts. This tie-dye craft with wet wipes and markers was a big hit. And it didn’t make much of a mess, either!
The kids at Cypress Creek got their “Week of Fun” July 10-13. The youth from The River in Panhandle came out every afternoon for all kinds of fun and crafts and taught the kids about the love of Jesus. We had a huge crowd every day. And it was HOT that week, so we’re thankful there were plenty of water balloons.
The kids at Spring Terrace are troopers. We don’t have an indoor meeting space, so each week we hunker down in the shade of the one big tree on the property to do crafts, talk, and hear a Bible story.
Water balloons are serious business at Plum Creek (and all of our properties, for that matter!)
We’ve added lots of new kids to our weekly Bible studies at Glenwood. Maybe word got out that sometimes Lia brings popsicles?
What are the kids going to miss most about summer? The North Grand Villas boys would definitely say this!
Nate (in white hat) has done and exceptional job getting our weekly activities at Canterbury Pointe launched and rolling along this summer. Unfortunately, his job schedule has changed significantly, so he’s in the process of helping us put together a new team of college students to manage things down there. Nate will still be around some, but he’ll definitely be missed by those kids!
